Shankaracharya Samadhi

The renovator of the immensely sacred Kedarnath Shrine is the hindu philosopher Sri Shankaracharya . To proliferate his Advaita Philosophy, he has made extensive journeys. The great researcher is the founder of the holy shrine of Kedarnath as well as one of the four mathas in 8th century. At the young age of 32, he attained Nirvana.

Augustyamuni
This one of the sacred shrines located at the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand with extensive number of devotees during the Baisakhi celebrations. This is one of the busiest pilgrimages in Rudraprayag and is celebrated as the winter abode of the God of Sri Kedarnath Shrine. The climatic condition of winter is so extreme that Kedarnath remained closed. Regular pujas of Sri Kedarnathji are performed at Omkareshwar Temple located at Ukhimath.
